Located in Franklin Township of Hendricks County, Indiana, Stilesville is a small town with a population of 316 residents, according to the 2010 census. Originally settled in 1823, the town’s site was first laid out in 1828 and was named after one of its pioneer settlers, Jeremiah Stiles. A couple of years later in 1830, the National Road was built and passed through the town itself.
Stilesville is comprised of 124 households and 89 families living within the town. The average household size is around 2.55 and the average family size is 3.01. The nearby Mill Creek runs along the northern border of the town.
Its governing body consists of a three-member Town Council and a Clerk-Treasurer, which is elected every four years.
