North Salem is a small town located in Eel River Township of Hendricks County in the state of Indiana. It boasts a population of 518 residents based on the 2010 census. The town was first laid out by settlers in 1835. It was then followed by the construction of a post office in 1839. In 1899, North Salem was finally incorporated as a town.
