Sheridan is located in Adams Township in the state of Indiana. This small town of more than 2,800 residents is considered a gateway into the Hamilton County.

Like many of the towns in the area, Sheridan has a rich history. The town’s heritage is perhaps symbolized best by the Boxley Cabin, a log structure built by abolitionist George Boxley in 1830, which once provided refuge for runaway slaves and served as a school. It has been inscribed into the National Register of Historic Places.
